Brought a friend who'd never run with a club. They were folded in immediately. A little crowded on Tuesdays, still worth the alarm.

Friendly group, but the advertised easy pace drifted into tempo after the first mile. Fine if you know, rough if you don't.

  2. Response from Eastside Run Club

Thanks for saying this out loud. We split an advertised-easy pack and a 'if you want to roll' pack now so nobody gets yoinked.

  3. Fri, Sep 11, 2:48 AM

Came back after they split packs. The easy group actually stayed easy this time. Still chatty, which I like.

Congress Ave at dawn is the whole reason I joined Wattly. They start on time, they wait at lights, and coffee after is not optional.

Showed up nervous for a 6:30am and left with coffee and three new people to text. Easy miles, nobody got dropped, and the vibe matches what they claim.

Route is pretty, lights are good, and they actually hold the no-drop promise. Would go back every week if work allowed.
